A NEW BEGINNING
Bellingham’s Downtown Waterfront is coming to life. Over 100 acres of former industrial property are being reimagined as a lively, mixed-use waterfront neighborhood,
complete with public art, parks, trails, new local businesses, and expansive access to the bay for residents and visitors alike.
A NEW DISTRICT
Bellingham’s Downtown Waterfront is becoming a new, walkable district on more than 100 acres of former industrial shoreline.
Delivered in phases over the coming decades, the area is already coming to life with public access, parks and trails - including Waypoint Park -
plus New gathering spaces and businesses at The Portal container village (home to Kulshan Trackside and The Selkie Scoop).
With the restored Granary Building anchoring activity at the water’s edge - and new restaurants and makers continuing to open -
the Waterfront District is evolving into a vibrant mix of places to live, work, and spend time on Bellingham Bay.
